ABOUT THIS ARTWORK ARTIST STATEMENT

The sky took on a life of it's own in this one as with vigorous mark-making giving a strong sense of movement. The land below picks up the colours of the sky; the detail and solidity working as a foil to the expanse of sky. The original for this is a monotype, a unique printed painting. I use rollers and dabbers to spread out the ink then make marks with a cloth and other tools. I incorporate textured materials by impressing inked up wallpaper and fabric.

This giclee reproduction is made to the highest standards on high quality paper. The accuracy of colour to the original is first rate. It comes window mounted and carefully flat- packed with 4 layers of twin-wall cardboard.
