Ploughed Giclee print from original monotype by Rebecca Vincent

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK – BY REBECCA VINCENT I love the warm browns and cool blues in this image. The rhythm of marks and patterns, light and dark worked out really well. The monotype medium can be unpredictable with some failures as well as successes. I use rollers and dabbers to spread out the ink then make marks with a cloth and other tools. I incorporate textured materials by impressing inked up wallpaper and fabric. There are usually three layers of colour working from light to dark. This giclee reproduction is made to the highest standards. The accuracy of colour to the original is uncanny. It comes window mounted and carefully flat-packed with at least 3 layers of twin-wall cardboard. These are high quality reproduction prints of Rebecca's original monotypes Rebecca’s monotypes are one-offs but they are sometimes reproduced as giclee prints. These are high-quality digital reproductions. The inks and paper are very high grade and are designed to stand the test of time. They are not hand-printed but they do capture almost exactly the colours and tones of the original.
