Susan Gathercole RCA
Susan Gathercole RCA was born in Glasgow in 1962. She graduated in Fine Art from Liverpool in 1984, and was invited to join the Royal Cambrian Academy in 2016. She has lived near Llanberis for nearly 30 years.
Her work describes small domestic objects, jugs, plates and mugs, seen from an intuitive, sometimes dream-like perspective. Speaking about her work, “The simple, quiet act of placing a glass of wild flowers against a coloured piece of fabric is the kind of thing that interests me”.
