Alice Melvin graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2004 with first-class honours in illustration and a love of paper design. Her debut book, An A to Z Treasure Hunt (Tate, 2007), was shortlisted for the Book Trust’s Best New Illustrator Award. She later created Counting Birds (2009), and has collaborated with Tate on children’s products. Her work is held in major collections, including the British Library and Tate.
