Celia Hart works in a studio in a small village in the south-west corner of Suffolk, near the familiar landscape of South Cambridgeshire where she grew up creating block prints and designs inspired by the countryside of East Anglia.
Her prints of animals, birds, gardens and landscapes are hand printed using traditional techniques, inspired by Japanese and Chinese printmakers and the English tradition of the illustrative print.
Celia studied design and illustration at Brighton College of Art and Design and started her career in publishing as a designer and art buyer for a major UK publisher. She has been working as a freelance illustrator and designer since 1991.
