Leaf Piles - A Garden for Wildlife card -by Hannah Longmuir

”Leaf Piles” is a colourful drawing of a little hedgehog snuggled up in a leaf pile. The flame-coloured fallen leaves of autumn provide food, shelter & bedding materials to a variety of wildlife, such as hedgehogs, toads & insects. The leaves also compost over time into nutrients for the soil. This is great news for every one of us untidy gardeners who let wind gather the leaves into piles.
