Rachel Grant Golden Hour

I am an artist and designer based in 'The Potteries', the creative county of North Staffordshire in the middle of England. I live and work from an old terraced house without a right angle in sight and it's this love of history, time-worn surfaces and the consistency of the natural world surrounding them that inspire and inform my work. Artist Statement I like to work in layers of collage and paint onto paper, canvas and wood, adding digital layers in my design work to try and evoke a sense of age and depth. Although the subject matter and medium may vary, my overall aim is to capture an atmosphere of peace and harmony. Quiet, still moments in an otherwise chaotic world. Being an introvert I am a real home bird, I like to grow vegetables, bake bread, knit and watch films, snuggled under crochet blankets. I yearn for flowers, fresh air and the sea and I listen to music all day, every day!
