Cyril Power (1872-1951) and Sybil Andrews (1898-1992) were leading members of the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London in the 1920s and 1930s, under the inspirational leadership of Claude Flight. Flight's Grosvenor School artists were responsible for the remarkable rise of the colour linocut print during this period, and their significance as a major contribution to modern British art between the wars is yet to be fully and widely appreciated. Ratushniak was taught and mentored by Sybil Andrews; he exhibited with her both during and after her life time.
