The “Star Catcher” is part of a new series of artworks by Sarah Jameson inspired by Nature and Wilderness. It depicts a startled stag leaping into view, its antlers garlanded with stars. This series is inspired by Sarah’s love of 18th-century landscape painting and the Picturesque Movement in England when Nature was celebrated
Sarah lives in the South Shropshire hills and her art comes from her love of photography, drawing – both traditional and digital, printmaking, writing and book making. She enjoys combining these to create images of nature and wild places evoking imaginary times long past and mysterious, ethereal places, now long lost.
