“The King’s Horses, 1931” is a linocut by the British artist William Greengrass (1896–1970)12. The artwork depicts the Royal Regiment of Horse Guards mounted on large grey horses.

William Greengrass is associated with the Grosvenor School students who include Lill Tschudi, Sybil Andrews and Cyril Power. Greengrass focused on the recurring patterns that appear in nature, and the impact these have on the eye.
