Edward Bawden R.A., C.B.E. was one of the most significant graphic designers of the 20th Century. He was a watercolourist, printmaker, muralist, commercial artist, designer, illustrator and teacher. He trained at the Royal College of Art and went on to have a distinguished career as a war artist. Bawden's commercial design work spanned over 60 years and this versatile artist remains the acknowledged master of the linocut. His work can be seen in collections at The Higgins Bedford and The Fry Art Gallery.
